Today many things have changed about how we view our planet and the impact we have on the environment. Being organized naturally decreases your impact on the environment through the basics: reduce—reuse—recycle. Reduce Less is always more. When you become organized you will no longer be purchasing items that are replacements for items lost among the clutter. Less money spent; more money in your pocket. Less time wasted searching for things; more time for the things you truly enjoy. Reuse Or as I would like to put it...repurpose. Be clever with the things you have around the home to help solve your organizational needs. A glass canning jar can serve as a container for cotton balls in the bathroom, or a pencil holder for the desk. Don’t expect an organizational product to solve the organizational dilemma. Shop around the house before you purchase something. Recycle As you make your way through the clutter your will find you have many items that you may no longer want, but still have a lot of use left in them. Consider donating these items to someone who truly needs them. You might also be able to take a tax deduction for donating—consult your accountant.
As a Professional Organizer, I take great pleasure in helping my clients make the world a better place. |
